That happened yesterday at the<strong> Memorial Day Parade<\/strong> which traversed down Kalakaua Avenue through the high density tourist district.<\/p>\n<p>The parade featured three bands, a number of veteran marching units, flag wavers, soldiers, motorcycle clubs, and custom cars. The highlight was the two\u00a0helicopters towed on board flatbed tractor trailer trucks. Both choppers, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificaviationmuseum.org\/exhibits\/bell-uh-1-iroquois-utility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Bell UH-1 Huey<\/strong><\/a> shown above as well as a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificaviationmuseum.org\/exhibits\/bell-ah-1-cobra-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Bell AH-1 Cobra<\/strong><\/a> shown below were in the parade courtesy of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificaviationmuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Pacific Aviation Museum<\/strong><\/a> at Pearl Harbor \/ Ford Island.<\/p>\n<p>As is typical for all parades, &#8220;a good time was had by all&#8221; for everyone in attendance.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Memorial Day Parade\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/macprohawaii\/34108476954\/in\/photostream\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/5\/4225\/34108476954_2cb9c2b3f7_z.jpg\" alt=\"Memorial Day Parade\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"God Bless the U.S.A.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/macprohawaii\/34819501491\/in\/dateposted\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/5\/4252\/34819501491_576b96c41d_z.jpg\" alt=\"God Bless the U.S.A.\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Remember our fallen soldier heroes and our dearly departed loved ones this <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Memorial_Day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Memorial Day<\/strong><\/a> weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s not every day that you see a helicopter paraded through the streets in Waikiki.
